The Green Tent by Lyudmila Ulitskaya

"The Green Tent" - a novel about love, fate, the characters. This is a real psychological prose. But at the same time, new work by Ulitskaya wider these definitions.

"The Green Tent" sounds well, note of the general fault, general unhappiness and shining rippling hint of universal forgiveness is relevant to all people of the late twentieth century.

"One evening, Olga told Tamara dream that dream before: on a huge carpet the meadow is a large green tent, and it lasts very long to turn a crowd of people, and Olga is in the tail, because it must necessarily enter into the tent.
Tamara, with her erupted mystical intuition, is fainted:
- Tent?
- Well, sort of circus-tent, but very large.
Look around and see that all - all entirely familiar faces: some girls from the camp, ever since I have not met, teachers, and university people, and our associate professor ... Just a whole demonstration!
- And Antonina Naumovna?
- Yes, and mom, of course, and my grandmother, whom I had never seen, and all native people - Michael, next to him some boys, kids, Sanechka, Galka and her goon.
- How, and the living and the dead together?
- Yes, of course."

"Life is short, art is long" - already the ancient Romans knew what was what. But that this aphorism has become a sacred knowledge, every living person on the earth have done their own way. Way, which then can easily fit in a few lines of key events - born, educated, married ... or one family album, where the stopped forever moments pinned to the paper, like dried butterflies. If we are quite formally, in one single dash between two dates. Infinitely filled with joys and frustrations, fears and hopes come true and a dream come true, mistakes and insights dash.
All of us - witnesses and creators of their eras, the hostages and the rulers of the time, which were born, travelers from the past into the future. Say, much more to write about this novel can be forever, because it is the very topic that will never lose its sharpness, because the theme is life. It is completely devoted to her new book, Lyudmila Ulitskaya.

"The Green Tent"- a history of the fate of the three friends in Moscow, whose angular 13-year anniversary fell on Stalin's death. That same year, somewhere along the Moscow streets walked carefree ten-year girl Lyucya, a future great writer Ulitskaya. But back to our heroes. Enthusiastic, honest, red-haired orphan absurdly Micah, agile and able to much clown Ilya and closed-educated scion of a noble Sanya smuggled his childhood friendship through life. Poet, photographer and musician, they were equally fascinated by the eternity of art ... synchronously passed through a period of dissidence, sixties, thaw. Matured, twisted their lives with the lives of loved women, older, but remained the same lads. Because if we say frankly, no one has ever become an adult ...

"The Green Tent"- a story of a generation, seen through the eyes of nameless heroes of his time acting and reflecting, stand firm, not really.
